Synopsis

LAST STAND OF NEW KRYPTON PART 8 - IRONY IN IRE Superman and Zod confront Brainiac's robots, while Superman calls out Zod on his excessive eagerness to fight Brainiac while he should have recovered Kandor and re-enlarge it. Zod ignores Superman's complaints and attacks Brainiac directly, while Superman flies off to find Kandor. In telepathic communication with Supergirl and the Legion, the Man of Steel tells them all to converge at Kandor's location.   The Legionnaires attempt to free Mon-El from his induced coma but are attacked by more robots. At the same time, Mon-El reminisces about several points in his life such as his friendship with Clark and the torture he endured at General Lane's hands. The Legionnaires take down their enemies but an even larger robots appears. In all of a sudden, Mon-El awakens, defeats the robots and reunites with his friends.   Superman, Supergirl and Brainiac 5 find Kandor, with Superboy still trapped inside the shrunken city. Superman decides to confront Brainiac, but Brainiac 5 warns him that he will die if does that. However, Superman remains resolute in protecting New Krypton and entrusts Supergirl in restoring Kandor.   The Legionnaires find all of Brainiac's bottled cities, while Supergirl and Brainiac 5 re-enlarge Kandor, meeting up with Superboy again. At the same time, Superman and Zod confront Brainiac together. Mon-El changes his shirt to remove the S, because he feels unworthy of the symbol by abandoning Superman.   Luthor re-enlarges a city inside of Brainiac's ship, which pokes through the top and sends it crashing down.
